AQHA REGION 8 CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW EXPERIENCE June 25-26-27, 2010 TEXAS H.O.R.S.E. COALITION NEEDS YOUR HELP TO HELP TEXAS HORSES...AND YOU!
2009 will be a pivotal year for the Texas horse industry and Texas HORSE needs your support of an initiative to provide a new revenue stream for showing, racing, equine research, adoption and retirement facilities for Texas-bred horses. The Texas HORSE Tradition Preservation Act supports the effort to keep Texas horses, Texas jobs, and Texas tax dollars in Texas where they belong. Texas HORSE -Horse Organizations for Racing, Showing and Eventing - is a coalition of major Texas horse organizations proposing an important legislative bill designed to support all facets of the horse industry. A portion of the monies generated from placing Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) at horse racing tracks already licensed in Texas will flow to the Performance Horse Development Fund benefiting non-racehorses. All Texas HORSE affiliates will share in this fund which will benefit horses statewide.

The Texas Quarter Horse Association began in 1978 and is the largest American Quarter Horse affiliate. We are located in Austin, Texas and have a full-time staff of eight that run two divisions: Racing and Halter & Performance. Current membership is over 2,500 horse enthusiasts.
