“There
is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside
of a man” - Sir Winston Churchill
Those of us who are a part of the Texas Quarter Horse Association have
been blessed with the gift of the horse, regardless of our level of involvement.
We see the magic and power of the horse. Because of that, the Texas Quarter
Horse Association has selected three riding facilities in the State of
Texas that provide therapy, exercise, and education through structured
equine facilitated programs to children with mental, emotional, and physical
disabilities.
The goal is to provide resources to assist these programs in fulfilling
their mission in helping the children. Please consider contributing by
volunteering, donating items or giving a cash donation to these incredible
organizations and make a difference in someone’s life. All facilities
are 501 (C) 3 non profit organizations and can offer you tax benefits
for your donations. All contributions given through TQHA will receive
acknowledgement from TQHA and for any donations of $25 or more, the contributor
will receive a commemorative TLC t-shirt with the phrase: “Changing
Lives – One Horse at a Time”.
Tack and horse accessories will be collected and donated to these facilities
during the year. Suggested Items to donate (not inclusive):
