Right to vote in TQHA elections held yearly during the TQHA Annual Convention
Accredited Texas-Bred Program – Members and non-members alike benefit
from this program. More than $1.6 million in bonus awards are
distributed by TQHA annually through the Accredited Texas-Bred
Program. Administered by the TQHA through the Texas Racing Act, this
program provides purse supplements in the form of cash awards to
owners, breeders and stallion owners for each ATB horse finishing
first, second or third in a Texas pari-mutuel race. Current members receive discounts on Accreditation Fees and are eligible for year end awards.
TQHA Members are able to consign their Accredited Texas Bred yearlings to the TQHA Yearling Sale. The TQHA Yearling Sale attracts buyers come from around the country. Every horse purchased is eligible for the $100,000 added RG2 TQHA Sale Futurity.
Stallion Service Programs – TQHA’s Annual Stallion Service Program
offers TQHA members discount breeding seasons to many of the nation’s
top stallions. Members are able to purchase these donated breedings
for up to 50% off the advertised breeding fees.
Show Competition – A majority of AQHA shows in Texas are also
approved by TQHA. Points earned at these shows are used for the
TQHA’s Youth and Amateur Programs plus TQHA’s year-end awards
programs. Novice Amateurs and Youth are able to qualify for the
prestigious Champion of Champions Invitational. TQHA also produces the
Texas Classic, one of the top AQHA shows in the world as well as the
Texas Fall Classic and Futurity.
Amateur Program – TQHA’s Amateurs offer a year-end awards program
and co-produces the Texas Amateur State Championships, one the largest
Amateur AQHA shows in the world.
Scholarships – Four-year scholarships are available to the students
of TQHA’s members. Beginning in 1993, the TQHA Scholarship Foundation
has presented over $150,000 in college scholarships.
