2010 FORD AQHYA WORLD SHOW

These are the official TQHYA form and are the ONLY applications that will be accepted in applying for the State Teams.

There are two ways you can qualify for YWS. You can Nationally qualify by accumulating the minimum number of youth points as required by AQHA in the qualifying time period (May 1-April 30), or you can State qualify on the Red Team and Blue Team.

There are 4 spots per event on the State team (2 Red/2 Blue) for the highest point earners. To apply for the Red Team, you’ll list your 10 best judges from any AQHA show in the nation. To apply for the Blue Team, you’ll list your 10 best judges from any TQHA approved Texas show in the qualifying period. You should submit both forms for each event you are trying to qualify for.

If you won points under fewer than 10 judges, first list your judges who gave you points, and then list your placings under judges who placed you in their top 10 (even if you’re out of the points) and the number in the class.

Neither Champion of Champions nor Novice Youth points count.

Your State team applications must be accompanied by an All-Time Exhibitor Show Record printout from AQHA of your points that you’re listing, and it would be helpful if the printout was highlighted for the office to reference the judge/points that you’re listing as your top 10.

If you qualify Nationally, AQHA will mail you your entry, which then needs to be submitted to TQHA immediately with payment for classes, stalls, drug fees, and cattle charges. If you qualify with the State Teams, TQHA will mail your entry to you, and you will need to return it to us immediately with payment.

Stalls ~ AQHA allows only one stall per horse and no more. If you are in the Cutting division and have a turn back horse, arrangements will need to be made with TQHA and AQHA (please call TQ at 512-458-5202). AQHA allows one tack stall per five horses, which will be assigned by TQHA.

Team Texas also participates in the Horse Judging, Horse Bowl, and Speech Contests, as well as the Parade of Teams, the Scrapbook Contest, the Wrangler Jeans and Justin Boot decorating contest.
