The AQHYA National Racing Experience is held in conjunction with the AQHA Bank of America Challenge Championship each year. This national event allows participants to experience working one-on-one with an experienced trainer at the three-day Challenge Championship event.
Youth must be 16 years old at the time of the national event to apply. Applicants must also complete the online Racing Skillathon Contest, and their results will count toward their cumulative total in the program. Five participants will be chosen to receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the Bank of America Challenge Championships. All applicants must be members of AQHYA. The TQHYA Race Experience is going to be held at Sam Houston Race Park starting at 8 am Saturday, May 14, 2022. Youth ages 14-18 may apply. Youth will be able to meet the trainers, tour the barns, and attend the races at the Park. More details to come!
AQHA 2021 Racing Experience in New Mexico
Congratulations to TQHYA Board Members David and AJ Kendrick for crossing the finish line 1st and 2nd at the AQHA Racing Experience in New Mexico. These young men were amongst the 5 selected participants in the entire nation. The guys from Texas received an all expense paid trip to learn first hand about racing and compete for scholarship money.
