Accredited Texas-Bred Program

Millions of dollars in bonus awards have been distributed by TQHA through the Accredited Texas-Bred Program. Administered by TQHA through the Texas Racing Act, the Accredited Texas-Bred Program provides purse supplements in the form of cash awards to owners, breeders and stallion owners for each Accredited Texas-Bred Quarter Horse finishing first, second, or third in a Texas pari-mutuel race.

An individual is not required to be a TQHA member to receive Accredited Texas-Bred Incentive Awards. However, you must be a current-year member, as the owners are stated on the horse’s AQHA papers including partnerships, to be eligible for TQHA Year-End Awards.

TQHA members receive discounts on ATB fees.

Approximately $1 million is distributed yearly through the Accredited Texas Bred Awards Program. According to the Texas Racing Act, on every racing day, an association (track) shall provide for the running of at least two races limited to Accredited Texas-Bred horses, one of which shall be restricted to maidens.

The TQHA Racing Department thanks you for your continued interest & support of the Accredited Texas Bred Program!
